Naked women became the talk of the town after going on a trip to Prague, the Czech capital, and forgetting to pack any clothes, the dailystar.co.uk reported.

Footage of the models’ city break shows them stopping traffic and even posing for photos with gobsmacked tourists.

Nasjonalforsamlingen i Irak har vedtatt å forby alt salg, produksjon og import av alkohol, melder NTB / VG.no 

Brudd på den nye loven kan straffes med bøter på mellom 8.000 og 20.000 dollar – mellom 66.000 og 165.000 norske kroner.

Vedtaket lørdag fikk støtte fra innflytelsesrike religiøse partier, men har blitt møtt med motstand fra flere av Iraks etniske og religiøse minoriteter.

Det kristne parlamentsmedlemmer Yonadam Kanna sier til nyhetsbyrået AFP at han vil gå rettens vei for å få den nye loven opphevet.

Alkohol tilbys sjelden på restauranter i Irak, men er relativt lett å få tak i, særlig i Bagdad, der alkohol tilbys i mange av hovedstadens butikker.

Irak har også flere selskaper som produserer alkohol, blant annet vin, ølmerket Farida og anisbrennevinet arak, som er utbredt over hele Midtøsten.

Forbudet gjelder ikke i den selvstyrte regionen Kurdistan nord i Irak.

Også i nabolandene Iran, Kuwait, Saudi-Arabia, De forente arabiske emirater og Jemen, er det innført helt- eller delvis alkoholforbud, mens det i andre land i regionen, som Libanon, Syria, Israel, Jordan, Bahrain og Qatar blir produsert og solgt alkohol. I de fire første landene er det blant annet en relativt stor vinproduksjon,

In an effort to create more activities for his people and foreign tourism companies, North Korea leader Kim Jung Un has reportedly allowed a Pyongyang flight club to fly citizens and tourists over the capital city, the Associated Press reported, according to the International Business Times.

Running since July, the flights on ‘ultralight’ aircraft fly over some of Pyongyang’s biggest sites like Kim II Sung Square, the Munsu Water Park and the May Day stadium.

The flights can cost as much as $150 for longer trips to $65 for shorter ones. The trips also reach an altitude of roughly 6,500 feet.

North Korean officials have said more than 4,000 citizens have climbed Pyongyang’s skies along with ‘hundreds’ of foreigners from 12 countries.

Compared to the other headlines North Korea’s made of late, the flights are likely some good news for North Koreans. 

The flights are also a boon to tourists who often visit museums or other closely monitored areas. Previously, the best view a tourist or North Korean could have was from the 492-foot tower in Kim II Sung Square.

However, while North Korea loosened its travel policy in 2010 to allow visitors from the United States, the State Department has consistently put out travel warnings to all U.S. citizens and asked they not attempt to visit North Korea.

The department’s official site says at least 14 U.S. citizens have been detained in North Korea over the last 10 years and that even being part of a tour group cannot ensure safety.

And there still are travel restrictions, or difficulties, for Americans to enter North Korea. Unlike visitors from China, who can take trains directly to the mainland, U.S. tourists must travel by plane, according to CNN.

And while journalists will have a tough time gaining visas, most other U.S. citizens can be approved for a visa with little trouble.

Frykten for terror og økende tilstedeværelse av Airbnb gjør at hotellene i Paris frykter en langvarig nedtur, etter en svikt i besøket så langt i år på ti prosent, skriver Travelnews.no

Det er det internasjonale konsulentselskapet KPMG som har sett på tallene og vurdert utsiktene fremover. Selv om det ikke skulle skje noe dramatisk i den nærmeste tiden mener KPMG at turistnedgangen i den franske hovedstaden vil fortsette i minst 18 måneder til.

Men det er ikke bare terrortrusselen som preger besøkstallene i Paris. Byen er Airbnbs største marked og KPMG mener ytterligere vekst her vil gi langvarige negative ringvirkninger for byens hoteller, ifølge nettstedet.

– Vi ser for oss utfordringer det neste halvannet år, og neste år blir det en svak nedgang – i beste fall en stagnasjon i hotellinntektene, sier Stephane Botz i KPMG.

Han ser en mer langvarig og ikke minst strukturell utfordring i Airbnbs tilstedeværelse, som vokser.

For øvrig hadde Air France en nedgang i antallet bestillinger på fem prosent i perioden juni-august i år, og mye tyder på ytterligere nedgang her.

I forrige uke annonserte Frankrikes regjering flere tiltak for reiselivssektoren, som blant annet inkluderer tilskudd til en markedsføringspakke på flere millioner kroner, skriver Travelnews.

Over to millioner cruisepassasjerer besøkte Kanariøyene i 2015. Dette er dobling fra 2005 og en økning på 14,6 prosent fra 2014, skriver Travelnews.no

Den økende etterspørselen etter cruiseferier gjorde 2015 til et rekordår for de populære turistøyene. I løpet av ti år er antall passasjerer doblet, og fjoråret ga en ny rekord med hele 2.187.161 cruisepassasjerer.

Kanariøyene er kjent for å ha det beste klimaet i hele verden, noe som har bidratt til at øygruppen er noen av de mest etterspurte cruisedestinasjonene verden over.

La Luz, Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) og Santa Cruz de Tenerife tok imot mer enn én million cruisepassasjerer i 2015, mens Arrecife på Lanzarote tok imot mer enn 433,000 cruisepassasjerer. 

De resterende cruisepassasjerene besøkte Santa Cruz de La Palma, Puerto del Rosario på Fuerteventura, San Sebastián de La Gomera og La Estaca på El Hierro.

På det nye nettstedet Islands Ahead kan cruisepassasjerer finne detaljert informasjon om hva Kanariøyene har å by på, skriver Travelnews.

Vatican clerics are worried they will have to foot the bill to adapt building for use by fast food chain near St Peter’s Square in Rome, The Guardian reported.

Opponents of what would be the first McDonald’s restaurant to open in a Vatican building within sight of St Peter’s Square has been boosted by a group of cardinals living above the proposed site.

While local residents have been aghast at the thought of a Golden Arches near the home of the Catholic church, cardinals who live in the apartment building where the fast food chain will be located have more practical concerns, according to Italian media reports.

The cardinals have complained that they were not consulted about the new McDonald’s and are worried that they will have to help pay for extra restructuring expenses to adapt the building, including a new flue for the kitchen.
