Det legendariske serveringsstedet Justisen i Oslo gjenåpner med et nytt restaurantkonsept tirsdag 3.november, skriver Dagbladet.

Den populære restauranten- og baren i Møllergata 15 har eksistert siden 1920-tallet, og i gjenoppbyggingen av Justisen har eierne satset på en oppgradert versjon av originalen av det historiske spisestedet.

Justisen Bar og Salonger åpner i andre etasje seinere samme uka. Her kan du velge mellom hovedbaren, en rockebar, og en kjøkkenbar.

Justisen ligger i en bygning fra 1700-tallet og er et registrert kulturminne.

Hotellet er plukket ut blant nettsidens 520 hoteller fra 82 land.

Hvorfor dra på shopping når du kan dra på Chopin?

Noe sånt tenker de kanskje i Polens hovedstad Warszawa der det nå er langt lettere å se komponisten Frederic Francois Chopins; Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin på polsk (1810-1849) fødehjem, skriver Dagbladet.

En minibuss sørger nemlig for å frakte turistene til og fra landsbyen Zelazowa Wola, 46 kilometer vest for hovedstaden, hvor Polens store nasjonalkomponist ble født. Pakken inneholder også inngangsbilletter både her og til Chopin-museet i Warszawa. 

Komponisten og pianisten Frederic Chopin, med fransk far og polsk mor, vokste opp i Warszawa, og døde i Paris.

Storbritanias hovedstad er høstens mest populære storby for reiseglade nordmenn, ifølge tall fra reisebyrået Ticket, skriver, Dagbladet.

Ticket er Norges nest største reisebyrå, og selger privatreiser fra de ledende charter- og reisearrangørene, cruiserederier og fly- og hotellselskaper. Statistikken gir derfor en grei pekepinn på nordmenns reisevaner.

De fem mest populære byene i 2015 hadde samme plasseringer forrige høst. Tsjekkias hovedstad Praha har høstens største økning i antall reisende sammenlignet med høsten 2014, med en økning på hele 82 prosent, skriver Ticket i en pressemelding.

Dubai tourism chiefs have reported a sharp increase in summer visitor numbers from the UK as they continue to chase ambitious growth targetsý, www.travelweekly.co.uk reported.

Speaking at Dubai Tourism’s first Gala Dinner at London’s Banqueting House on Thursday, Marc Bennett, senior vice-president of international operations, said the emirate had welcomed 94,000 visitors from the UK in August, a 32% increase on the same month in 2014.

The figure was particularly notable as August 2014 had seen 27% growth on the previous year, Bennett said.

He added: “Yes, it is hot (in August), but the affordability of luxury accommodation makes it very, very attractive.”

Dubai Tourism has been charged with attracting 20 million international visitors by 2020, with the UK office targeting two million annual visitors.

Bennett said the expansion of Dubai’s second airport and a growth in the number of hotel beds from 94,000 currently to 150,000 by 2020 meant that both targets were achievable.

He added: “Every asset is in place to achieve two million visitors from the UK.

“At the beginning of the global crisis in 2008, Dubai had only 50,000 rooms, but part of the secret of continued growth is bravery and having the courage of your convictions to be ready when times are better.”

Although full figures from last year are not yet available, Dubai Tourism confirmed that more than one million UK visitors contributed to an overall international visitor record of 13.2 million.

Dubai city is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is making efforts to establish a new Tokyo brand that will help build a stronger impression of Tokyo as a tourist destination ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics and Beyond.

flydubai recently launched flights between Dubai and Asmara with effect from October 25, 2015 with 4 flights a week, operating on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, travelbizmonitor.com reported.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer, flydubai said, “The addition of Asmara to our network reflects our commitment to enhancing air connectivity to Dubai which includes 67 points that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were underserved. The Eritrean capital becomes our 13th destination in East Africa.”

Asmara is the 18th destination flydubai launched this year and the airline has recently launched operations to Burundi, Rwanda, Somaliland, Tanzania and Uganda.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President, Commercial (GCC, Subcontinent, Africa), flydubai said: “With the addition of four flights a week to Asmara, we are providing passengers from East Africa with a direct link to Dubai. When passengers choose flydubai they will enjoy our convenient, reliable and affordable travel services, our onboard experience and our dedicated Business Class.”

Business Class passengers can enjoy a comfortable spacious seat, a choice of meals from an internationally-inspired menu, a generous checked baggage allowance and fast track through immigration and security.
