Det er burgerkjeden Byron i London som skal ha utlevert egne ansatte til migrasjonsmyndighetene, slik at de ble pågrepet og deportert fra Storbritannia.

Antirasistiske aktivister spredte fredag kveld 14.000 insekter i to av kjedens restauranter, skriver Huck Magazine.

– Vi sender en melding til selskaper som Byron om at de ikke bør behandle utenlandske arbeidere så respektløst, sier en av aktivistene til magasinet.

Yuriko Koike (64), som er tidligere forsvarsminister i Japan, er valgt til guvernør i hovedstaden Tokyo. Hun blir byens første kvinnelige politiske leder, melder nyhetsbyrået AFP, ifølge nrk.no 

– Jeg skal skape et Tokyo dere aldri før sett, sa den nyvalgte guvernøren til jublende støttespillere.

Yuriko Koike har lang fartstid fra rikspolitikken, blant annet som parlamentsmedlem og miljøvernminister. 64-åringen, som er utdannet sosiolog, har også lang bakgrunn fra media, og har jobbet som tolk på arabisk, et språk hun snakker flytende er studier ved det amerikanske universitetet i Kairo i Egypt på 1970-tallet.

Hun tilhører det konservative regjeringspartiet Liberaldemokratene.

Yuriko Koike ble i 2007 Japans første, og hittil eneste, kvinnelige forsvarsminister, en stilling hun hadde i bare 54 dager.

Tre unge Pokemon-spillere i London ble ranet av væpnede ungdommer fredag kveld. 

De tre ofrene, som er 15, 16 og 18 år gamle, spilte Pokémon Go i Whittington-parken i Upper Holloway, i bydelen Islinton, nord i den britiske hovedstaden da tre maskerte ungdommer nærmet seg, skriver vg.no 

Den ene av de maskerte ungdommene viste fram et håndvåpen, ifølge NTB.

– Det er svært sjeldent at det finner sted ran der det vises fram eller indikeres våpen, og vi forsøker å pågripe gjerningspersonene så raskt som mulig, sier politietterforsker Kevin Yeung.

De tre tenåringene kom ikke fysisk til skade, men var i sjokk etter å ha blitt frastjålet mobiltelefonene og andre eiendeler, skriver VG.

Tivoli, Copenhagen.

As part of a coordinated effort to get tourists to visit more areas of Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital city, the famous and popular Tivoli amusement park and pleasure garden may in future offer tickets for rides on Copenhagen’s canals and tour buses, the Copenhagen Post reported. 

The idea is being spearheaded by the amusement park and the tourism company Strömma, which is behind City Sightseeing and Canal Tours.

The two companies plan to sell tickets for each other’s experiences both at ticket offices and online.

“We know from studies that the combination of a canal tour and a Tivoli visit is a top choice among tourists. We are now making it even easier for them to do both,” Frans Fossing, Tivoli’s vice president of sales, told AOK (Alt om København / All About Copenhagen), the city’s online guide.

Lise Lyck, professor at the department of Tourism, Culture and Management at Copenhagen Business School, believes it is a smart idea for the two companies to cooperate rather than compete.

“It’s the right idea for attractions to come together and exploit the synergy that occurs in a common field, thereby making it more rewarding to be a tourist in Copenhagen,” she told AOK.

“What we see here is hopefully only the beginning of a series of new collaborations among the attractions. It’s a win-win for both the tourist attractions and the tourism industry.”

Monumental Nazi-era buildings in Germany have become tourist magnets. The sites, associated with the Nazi regime, have different ways of dealing with their heritage, but is it “dark tourism” or educational tourism?, Deutsche Welle reported.

Every 10 minutes a new group of guided tourists stops at the spot on Wilhelmstrasse in Berlin, where Adolf Hitler killed himself in 1945. There is no visible trace left of the underground bunker.

Today there is just a cemented area next to the Peking Duck restaurant, making it probably the most photographed parking lot in Berlin.

Tourists from the United States, in particular, want to see the “Führerbunker,” says Sabine, a city guide in the German capital.

But people of other nationalities also seek out the place.

The “Führerbunker” drew people’s attention as early as 1945 when it was an unwelcome attraction located in the former Soviet sector of divided post-war Berlin.

Etter at en person jaktet Pokémon mellom flyene har København Lufthavn Kastrup nå innført forbud mot Pokemon-jakt, skriver Travelnews.no

Forbudet gjelder de ansatte på rullebanen, og med dette understreker flyplassen at Kastrup “ikke er en lekeplass”, ifølge en advarsel på flyplassens hjemmeside.

Det var en hendelse der flyene står parkert som fikk ledelsen til å reagere.

Pokémon har som i Norge tatt Danmark med storm, og noen blir altså så oppslukt at det går på sikkerheten løs, ifølge København Lufthavn. Etter at en av de ansatte sprang rundt og jaktet Pokemon mellom flyene, og på et tidspunkt kjørte ut i det som kalles Airside-trafikken på jakt etter de små virtuelle monstrene, tok ledelsen affære, heter det videre.

Kastrup skriver blant annet at spillet løpende registrerer spilleres bevegelsesmønster og således skaper nye figurer i området. Det er nå identifisert tre Pokémons på airside i nærheten av flytrafikken, men disse skal altså nå få beholde sin virtuelle frihet.

Ifølge flyplassens nettside har jakten på Pokémons ikke ført til konkrete hendelser, men at det ifølge den danske ferdselsloven er forbudt å kjøre med håndholdt mobil, skriver Travelsnews.

The government of Estonia has decided to close its embassy in Brazil to reduce spending, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday, sputniknews.com reported.

According to the statement, the embassy in Brasilia is due to be closed on January 1, 2017. However, three honorary consuls will continue to work on Estonia’s behalf in the country.

“Our diplomats have been doing a good job, protecting the country’s interests in the fields of security, economy  However, if the country has to cut spending, we should do it as well,” Estonian Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand said.

She noted that for Estonia it was especially important to keep its embassies in the European Union countries and in NATO member states open.

A proposed ban on Segways in selected parts of Prague will be broader than expected according to the draft proposal which is to be debated by Prague councilors next week, Radio Praha reported.

The proposal, which was made available to the CTK news agency, envisages a complete ban in Prague 1, Holesovice and Letna and selected parts of the districts Vinohrady, Zizkov, Prahy 4, Smíchov and Liben.

Segways should be banned from pavements, cycle paths, pedestrian zones and streets. The ban should come into effect in mid-August.

Segway operators say they will sue the city for losses incurred.
