Torsdag åpnet den nye taxfreebutikken på Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen. Dette er Europas største taxfreebutikk for innkommende trafikk, skriver ABC Nyheter.

De reisende fikk fra torsdag 3.500 kvadratmeter med taxfreeareal å boltre seg på når de ankommer Gardermoen. Ifølge Dagbladet blir ikke den nye butikken bare Norges største, men Europas største taxfreebutikk for innkommende trafikk.

– Poenget med en stor ankomstbutikk har alltid vært at folk skal handle i Norge, noe som skaper verdier og arbeidsplasser her hjemme, sier Haakon Dagestad i Travel Retail Norway.

Han anslår at den nye ankomstbutikken kommer til å øke omsetningen med opptil 7 prosent.

– Det blir en moderat økning, fordi det er en butikk hvor kundene har en maksimalkvote å forholde seg til.

Beboerne i fristaden Christiania i København var fredag i gang med en oppryddingsaksjon i Pusher Street, skriver nrk.no

Hensikten er å stanse hasjsalget som foregår der, sier Risenga Manghez,  talsmann for beboerne.

Fredag morgen startet rivingen av bodene hvor hasjselgerne står og selger det ulovlige rusmiddelet.

– Jeg kan bekrefte at vi vil forsøke. Vi vil fjerne bodene. Det er intensjonen, sier Manghez.

Rundt femti personer deltar ifølge Danmarks radio (DR) i oppryddingen.

Tidligere i uken ble to politifolk og en tredje person skutt og såret av en mann som åpnet ild med pistol ved hasjbodene. Den antatte gjerningsmannen (25) ble senere selv skutt under pågripelsen, og han døde senere av skadene, ifølge nrk.no

Cruiseskipet MSC Fantasia skal fra desember i år seile i arabiske farvann, og vil for første gang gå til den eksklusive stranddestinasjonen Sir Bani Yas, som er en naturlig øy utenfor Abu Dhabi, den føderale hovedstaden i De forente arabiske emirater, skriver Se og Hør.

Øya kan blant annet by på en 2,5 kilometer lang tropisk strand. I tillegg til 2000 solsenger kan gjestene boltre seg med alle typer vannsport, være med på ekspedisjon med firehjulstrekker, eller legge ut på tur med mountain bike.

The new ambassador of Austria to Georgia, Arad Benko, recently presented his credentials to the President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili.

Mr Benko is the first Austrian ambassador to Georgia who will reside in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital. His predecessors worked from Baku, capital of Azerbaijan.

After the ceremony the sides discussed the prospects of ratification of diplomatic relations, as well as the deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations, Sputnik Georgia reports.

President Margvelashvili stressed the importance of opening the Austrian embassy in Tbilisi. Ambassador Benko, in turn, said about support to Georgia in the process of integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures and expressed his readiness to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

Nylig åpnet nemlig verdens første “biker motel”, bestående av 24 syv meter lange containere. Mer luksuriøst for sykkelen enn for eieren, med andre ord.

“The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in San Marino started its work on August 1. It which is headed by a citizen of this country, the president of the Italian Association of Forestry, Andrea Negri,” the department said in a statement on its Facebook page.

The department said that the main tasks of the consulate include the provision of free advice and assistance to Ukrainian citizens in case of emergency on the territory of San Marino, as well as to contribute to promoting Ukraine’s interests in political and economic areas.
