Lime trees and grapevines were planted yesterday in the area where further square infrastructure will be developed. The project will be completed before the end of the year.
The initiative is being implemented with support from Tbilisi City Hall, Riga City Hall and the Georgian Embassy in Latvia.
This marks the second Baltic square to be named for Tbilisi. In 2015, Lithuania named the first square in its capital, Vilnius.
