Ruter har denne våren en prøveordning, fra 31. januar til 31. mai, der det ikke lenger vil være mulig å bruke kontanter om bord på trikken i Oslo, skriver e24.no
Testingen av krav til forhåndskjøp av billett skjer i forbindelse med at selskapet snart skal gå til anskaffelse av nye trikker, sier kommunikasjonssjef i Ruter, Sofie Bruun.
På de nye trikkene vil det mest sannsynlig ikke være mulig å kjøpe billett om bord, fordi trikkeføreren vil sitte mer skjermet enn i dag.
NHO Service, ved administrerende direktør Petter Furulund, er kritiske til at Ruter har igangsatt prøveprosjektet med kontantfrie trikker og mener dette er i strid med loven.
Nå har de sendt inn et brev til Finansdepartementet der de belyser problematikken.

South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma has called for Parliament to look at the country’s three capitals, advising that it is not practical for the country to maintain three capital cities in his 2016 State of the Nation Address.
South Africa is one of a few countries worldwide that has not one but three capitals: Cape Town, in the Western Cape, is the legislative capital and seat of Parliament.
Bloemfontein
Bloemfontein, in the Free State, is the judicial capital, and home to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Pretoria
Pretoria, in Gauteng, is the administrative capital, seat of government and home to foreign embassies, and the ultimate capital of the country. It is home to the Union Buildings, which houses the Office of the President, and a large proportion of the public service.
President Zuma said having two capitals on opposite sides of the country meant that the State not only needed to maintain the two, but that MPs also needed to have two houses and two cars in order to do their duties – as an “unnecessary cost”.
In an ENCA interview live from Parliament the leader of the Freedom Front+ Pieter Mulder said any opportunity to cut government spending was good, although the move to have one parliament was suggested, and should have been done, in 1994 already and that if it does happen it will be an “expensive exercise that could take as long as 10 years”.
“We lose five to six hours of work travelling to Cape Town, we will support the move to of having these capitals come together as it will not only save time but also money,” said Reverend Kenneth Moshoe of the ACDAP.
Zuma also said the State plans to invest about R100m per annum to encourage South Africans to tour the country more.
While connectivity has been increased across aviation hubs such as OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and King Shaka International Airport in Durban, a good place to start would be to improve the more affordable rail travel, with facilities and safety needing to be addressed.

Eierne av Le Bataclan, den tradisjonsrike og populære konsertarenaen i Paris som ble rammet av terrorangrep fredag 13.november, har annonsert via sin egen nettside at de nå planlegger å gjenåpne arenaen, skriver nrk.no
I en kort beskjed melder de at de har bestemt seg for å renovere lokalet, og vil gjøre sitt beste for å arrangere nye konserter mot slutten av året.
De skriver at de vil komme med ny informasjon så snart de vet noe mer. I meldingen takker de også for all støtten de har mottatt de siste månedene.

Under terrorangrepet hadde det amerikanske rockebandet Eagles Of Death Metal konsert for rundt 1500 mennesker, der 89 ble drept. Bandet har understreket at de vil tilbake igjen til og spille ny konsert i Le Bataclan. Til sammen 130 mennesker ble drept i terroraksjonene i Paris denne kvelden.

The Bulgarian capital city Sofia will host the 33rd edition of the Holiday & Spa Expo International Tourist Fair, reports the Sofia News Agency Novonite.com
The largest tourist forum in Bulgaria will take place at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia between Thursday and Saturday.
Despite the problems in the tourist sector in 2015, more tour operators, hoteliers and national tourist organisations have confirmed their participation at this year’s edition of the fair.
More than 380 exhibitors, including resorts, tour operators, sector organisations and municipalities both from Bulgaria and abroad, is taking part.
Among the new participants this year is Indonesia. The Hungarian Ministry of Tourism will also participate for the first time.
There will be also representatives from Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Morocco, Cuba, Croatia, Russia, Greece, Italy, Spain, Poland, USA, Czech Republic, Portugal and Romania.
The Bulgarian tourism ministry will have its own stall, as will municipalities and spa resorts.
The focus of Sofia’s stand will be on the city’s status as European Capital of Sport in 2018. Several popular Bulgarian sportsmen from the recent past have been invited to give autographs to visitors at the stand.
Plovdiv will have an interactive stall, focusing on its designation as European Capital of Culture in 2019.
Varna, Veliko Tarnovo and Stara Zagora will also have their own stands and present their cultural sites.
Samokov will mark the 120th anniversary of the foundation of the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria – Borovets.
The event is organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with Sofia municipality and tourist organisations.
The organisers will make a charity auction, with the money collected at the auction to be awarded to a student from the professional tourism high School.

Styret i NRK har vedtatt at NRK skal flytte fra Marienlyst etter 80 år. Rikskringkasteren skal etter planen flytte inn i et nytt og mindre bygg innen fem til ti år, dersom NRK får solgt bygningsmassen på Marienlyst.
Kringkastingshuset (bildet), et kjent landemerke i hovedstaden, kalles også Radiohuset og “Det hvite hus”, er tegnet av arkitekten Nils Holter. Bygget ble påbegynt i 1938 og stod ferdig i 1950.

København får nå Skandinavias første moske for kvinner. Moskeen i den danske hovedstaden er etablert for og av kvinner, skriver Nettavisen.no
Moskeen beskrives som et “feministisk prosjekt”, men satsingen møter kritikk fra etablerte moskeer.
– Jeg har aldri følt meg hjemme i de eksisterende moskeene. De er jo sinnssykt vakre, de nye stormoskeene, men jeg har følelsen av å være fremmed der. Vi kvinner står oppe på balkongen og kikker ned på det som skjer, sier Sherin Khankan, imam og initiativtaker i Miriam moskeen i København, til danske Politiken.
Enkelte pmtaler moskeen som et forsøk på å modernisere islam, men lederen for en av de største moskeene i Danmark, imam Waseem Hussein i Dansk Islamisk Center, sier han ikke ser behovet.
– Skal vi også ha en moske kun for menn? Det ville jo blitt et ramaskrik i den danske befolkningen, sier han ifølge Politiken.
Sherin Khankan er en kjent stemme i Danmark som samfunnsdebattant og feminist. Hun er talskvinne for Forum for Kritiske Muslimer og står bak initiativet Femimam, som skal hjelpe fram kvinnelige imamer.

Den amerikanske rocklegenden Jimi Hendrix sitt tidligere hjem i nummer 23 Brook Street i Mayfair-distriktet i London er omgjort til museum med en permanent utstilling, og i dag onsdag var det offisiell åpning, melder NRK og BBC.
Leiligheten er ved hjelp av fotografier tatt blant annet av hans daværende, britiske kjæreste Kathy Etchingham (69), i dag en kjent forfatter, fullt restaurert og tilbakeført til slik den var da Hendrix selv bodde der i årene 1968 og 1969.
Renoveringen har kostet 30 millioner kroner.

Hendrix-museet blir nabo med det tidligere hjemmet til den tysk-fødte engelske komponisten Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759. De to leilighetene er de eneste hjemmene til Hendrix og Händel som ennå eksisterer, og de blir markedsført på en felles nettside for museene, handelhendrix.com
James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix (født Johnny Allen Hendrix) ble født i Seattle, Washington i USA i 1942, og døde på Samarkand Hotel i London 18.september 1970, 27 år gammel.
Gitarlegenden og bandet hans, The Jimi Hendrix Experince, er kjent for hitlåter som Hey Joe, Woodoo Child og Purple Haze.
Han er gravlagt på Greenwood Memorial Park i Renton utenfor Seattle.

British Airways gjenopptar flyvninger til Irans hovedstad Teheran. Flyselskapet tror ruten vil være av interesse for norsk oljebransje, skriver reisenettstedet Travelnews.no
– Nå som de internasjonale sanksjonene er hevet, og aktiviteten på norsk sokkel er nede i en bølgedal, vet vi at mange aktører i norsk oljebransje ser på hvilke muligheter som ligger i Iran. Statoil og Aker Solutions har tidligere vært tilstede i Iran, og Norges mange ledende teknologileverandører ser nok et potensiale der. Derfor er jeg er fornøyd med at vi igjen kan tilby en effektiv reiserute dit, sier Peter Rasmussen, Nord-Europa-sjef for British Airways, til Travelnews.
British Airways gjenopptar flyvningene fra London Heathrow terminal 5 til Iran fra og med 14. juli i år. Til å begynne med blir det seks ukentlige flyvninger. Fra vintersesongen øker det til en flyvning hver dag. British Airways fløy første gang til Teheran i 1946.
Peter Rasmussen sier at reisende fra Oslo og Stavanger kan ta kveldsflyet fra henholdsvis Gardermoen og Sola til Heathrow og lande i Teheran tidlig neste morgen.
– Det er en fin rute for forretningsfolk som ønsker å reise utenfor kontortid, sier Rasmussen.
British Airways tror også at fjerningen av de internasjonale sanksjonene kan revitalisere Iran som turistdestinasjon.
– Med sin rike kulturarv, unik arkitektur og førsteklasses mat er Teheran tippet å være et populært reisemål for 2016, sier Rasmussen.
British Airways flyr fem daglig avganger fra Oslo til London Heathrow, samt to daglige avganger fra Stavanger og Bergen til London Heathrow.
