22 mennesker, mange av dem barn og unge, mistet livet og minst 110 ble skadet, 20 av dem kritisk, da en selvmordsbomber sprengte seg selv i lufta under en konsert med den amerikanske artisten Ariana Grande på Manchester Arena i Manchester mandag kveld.

21,000 tilskuere var til stede på konserten, som akkurat var avsluttet da terroristen slo til.

The new U.S. Embassy in London will open later this year and from the moment it was announced it sparked controversy, the wvtm13.com website reported.

First, because of its astounding $1 billion price tag and secondly because of its modern design.

The embassy, which resembles a giant glass cube, is located in a former industrial site, located on the southern bank of the Thames river just east of the iconic Battersea Power station

It was designed by the Philadelphia-based architecture firm Kieran Timberlake and it includes a ring of ponds and gardens around its perimeter.

Den første sykkelfestivalen i Storbritannia, Spin, som ble arrangert første gang i 2013, går nå av stabelen i London for femte gang.

Spain has opened a Brexit help desk at it’s embassy in London. The special desk is designed to resolve doubts concerning the effects of the UK’s divorce from the EU on Spaniards living in Britain and Northern Ireland, The Olive Press website reported.

A Foreign Ministry statement today said the desk will provide information on issues such as residence permits, health care, pensions, education and grants.

Some 132,000 Spaniards are registered as living in the UK and Northern Ireland, while more than two million visited in 2015.

There are currently 11,000 Spanish students studying in universities across the UK.

There are thought to be tens of thousands of more Spaniards living in the country unregistered.

Spain is the number one destination for UK citizens living outside Britain. Spain is home to just over 300,000 Britons, around a third of them aged over 65. The figure rises to around one million if Britons who live only part of the year in Spain are included.

I Storbritannia skal prins William (34) og prins Harry (32) reise en statue av sin mor – prinsesse Diana, 20 år etter at hun døde, skriver nrk.no

Ifølge People skal statuen plasseres ved Dianas tidligere hjem, Kensington Palace i London. Hun var gift med prins Charles, prinsen av Wales, fra 1981 til 1996.

Prinsesse Diana døde i en bilulykke i Paris 31.august 1997, der også hennes kjæreste, egyptisk-britiske Dodi Al-Fayed, mistet livet.  

Diana ble 36 år gammel.
