Har den danske hotellbransje-organisasjonen Horesta rett tilbyr Airbnb nå flere senger enn hotellene i landet.
Horesta ber nå myndighetene ta affære, blant annet ved å skattlegge utleiere av private senger som Airbnb, skriver nettstedet Travelnews.
Antallet utleiesenger booket gjennom Airbnb ble ifølge Horesta doblet i fjor, fra 1,7 året før til tre millioner i 2026. Antallet tilbydere av senger økte fra 21 000 til 30 000.
– Vi har ikke noe imot konkurranse, men den må skje på like vilkår, sier Kirsten Munch Andersen i Horesta i en kommentar til København-avisen Politiken.

Choiche-eieren overtar driften hotellet og bygger i tillegg nytt hotell med 500 rom like ved flyplassen.
Til sammen får Choice hånd om 882 rom; femstjernerskjeden Hiltons 382 rom samt 500 nye.

Petter Stordalen overtar driften av Hilton-hotellet i april og hotellet vil da skifte navn til Clarion. Han går inn med en 40 prosent eierandel i begge hotellene gjennom sitt eiendomsselskap Strawberry Fields.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced that it’s appointed tourism agency Atlantic Link to represent Philadelphia in the Danish capital city of Copenhagen in hopes of expanding international tourism to and from the Nordic region, the phillyvoice.com website reported,
The firm will work to create itineraries that include Philadelphia and open greater opportunities for better representation abroad, according to the bureau.
“The PHLCVB team has worked actively and successfully in the Nordic market over the last several years by building awareness through travel, trade and press opportunities, and we’re beginning to see the results of our efforts,” PHLCVB President and CEO Julie Coker Graham said in a statement.
Coker Graham said that there’s been more visitation from the Nordic region and that the bureau predicts a 21 percent growth in the Scandinavian market in the next three years.
The opening is part of an ongoing effort to promote international tourism in Philadelphia. The Copenhagen office will be the city’s seventh international location, along with locations in China, India, Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
The PHLCVB said that overseas visitation has been growing in the last years and is responsible for $982 million in economic impact for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia will launch its nonstop flights to Reykjavik, capital of Iceland, through Icelandair in May, another effort that hopes to boost travel.

Forslaget til ny kirke i Sydhavnen i København vekker oppsikt og kan innevarsle en ny vår for folkekirken i den danske hovedstaden. Det tror lederen i det lokale menighetsrådet, skriver avisen Dagen.
Det er firmaet JAJA Architects som har tegnet vinnerutkastet. Firmaet har brukt arbeidstittelen “Himmel og Hav” på prosjektet, men kirken har ennå ikke fått noe offisielt navn.
Den nye kirken skal bygges for å betjene anslagsvis 20.000 mennesker som etter hvert flytter inn i de nye boligområdene Sluseholmen og Teglholmen.
Dette blir den første nye kirken i Danmarks hovedstad på 30 år og prislappen er på 140 millioner kroner.

Beboerne i fristaden Christiania i København var fredag i gang med en oppryddingsaksjon i Pusher Street, skriver nrk.no
Hensikten er å stanse hasjsalget som foregår der, sier Risenga Manghez, talsmann for beboerne.
Fredag morgen startet rivingen av bodene hvor hasjselgerne står og selger det ulovlige rusmiddelet.
– Jeg kan bekrefte at vi vil forsøke. Vi vil fjerne bodene. Det er intensjonen, sier Manghez.
Rundt femti personer deltar ifølge Danmarks radio (DR) i oppryddingen.
Tidligere i uken ble to politifolk og en tredje person skutt og såret av en mann som åpnet ild med pistol ved hasjbodene. Den antatte gjerningsmannen (25) ble senere selv skutt under pågripelsen, og han døde senere av skadene, ifølge nrk.no
