Denmark is closing it’s embassy in Harare, capital of Zimbabwe, in order to focus on emerging productive markets. Most diplomatic and consular matters will be handled by the Danish embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, starting 1 January 2017.
Visas to Denmark will be handled by the embassy of France in Harare.
Other western embassies, like the Norwegian, have also shut down their operations and moved to neighbouring countries,
Zimbabwe receives substansial aid from Denmark, but there are no signs that this relationship will be ending as well.
Denmark may set up a honorary consulate in Harare in the future,
